18-Year-Old Killed in St. Johns County Collision
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – An 18-year-old from Hastings died early Monday morning when his car crashed into the back of a pickup truck on State Road 207, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported.
According to the FHP, the accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. near Deerpark Boulevard, approximately half a mile from Interstate 95. The victim’s car was traveling behind the pickup truck when the collision occurred.
Troopers stated the driver of the car was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected when the vehicle flipped after impact.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 58-year-old man from Flagler Beach, was unharmed in the crash and was wearing a seat belt, according to the FHP report.
