2025 Geely EX5 Electric SUV Gets Cheaper with New EOFY Trade-In Deal

Geely EX5 Electric SUV Becomes Even More Affordable with New EOFY Deal

Geely Australia has introduced a new end-of-financial-year (EOFY) promotion for its 2025 EX5 electric SUV, making Australia’s most affordable mid-size electric SUV even more attractive to buyers. The EX5 is priced from $40,990 before on-road costs, and with the latest ‘Green Light’ offer, customers can receive an additional $2000 discount through a trade-in bonus.

The promotion includes a complimentary home charging cable and the option of either five years of free servicing or a $2000 gift card. This offer replaces the previous launch promotion, which featured a year of free public charging, three years of servicing, premium paint, and a home charger.

All Geely models come with a seven-year/unlimited kilometer vehicle warranty, supported by an eight-year/unlimited kilometer battery warranty. The Geely EX5 has also achieved a maximum five-star ANCAP safety rating following recent testing.

Since its launch last month, Geely has received 1000 orders for the EX5. If these vehicles were delivered in the same month, it would potentially make the EX5 the best-selling non-Tesla electric vehicle in Australia. For comparison, March sales data showed the Tesla Model Y leading with 1725 sales, followed by the Tesla Model 3 with 1104 sales, and the BYD Sealion 7 with 573 sales.

Geely Auto Australia CEO Lei Li stated that the new EX5 promotion aims to encourage hesitant buyers to switch to electric vehicles. “More Australians are considering the switch to electric – not just for sustainability but for lifestyle, technology, and cost-of-ownership reasons,” Li explained. “Our EOFY offer alleviates the hurdle of private selling and eases concerns about charging and servicing.”

Full pricing and specification details of the Geely EX5 are available in our previous article.
