Honda’s 2025 Prologue electric SUV is poised to continue its success with some key upgrades. The updated model boasts an extended driving range exceeding 300 miles, enhanced power, and—importantly—retains the same attractive price point as the previous year’s model.

The Prologue made a strong debut last year, quickly becoming a top-selling EV in the United States. By the latter half of 2024, it had secured its position as the second best-selling electric SUV, trailing only the Tesla Model Y. Honda is capitalizing on this momentum by making the 2025 Prologue even more appealing.

The 2025 Honda Prologue now offers a driving range of up to 308 miles, a notable increase of 12 miles compared to the 2024 model’s 296-mile range. Furthermore, the price remains competitive; the Prologue can still be purchased for under $40,000 (including the federal EV tax credit).

The 2025 Prologue is available in three well-equipped trims: EX, Touring, and Elite. Despite the enhancements, the starting MSRP remains at $47,400. With the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, the 2025 Prologue EX Single Motor model starts at just $39,900 and offers a range of up to 308 miles.

Here is a breakdown of the driving range and specifications for each trim level:

Single-motor models now generate 220 horsepower, an increase from the previous 212 hp, with torque rising from 236 lb-ft to 243 lb-ft. The AWD EX and Touring trims now provide an EPA-estimated range of 294 miles, which is a 13-mile increase from the 2024 model. The Elite model has a total range of 283 miles, which is an extra 10 miles. AWD models also experience a power and torque boost, producing 300 horsepower (+12) and 355 lb-ft of torque (+7).

The 2025 Honda Prologue features rapid charging capabilities of up to 150 kW, enabling its 85 kWh battery to replenish approximately 65 miles of range in around 10 minutes. All 2025 models come standard with 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a wireless phone charger, heated front seats, and Honda’s driver-assistance system (Honda Sensing).

Honda is further incentivizing purchases by offering all Prologue customers a complimentary charging package, which includes:

    • A free Level 2 home charger.
    • A portable charging kit.
    • A $750 public charging credit.

With 2025 models arriving, Honda is also offering significant incentives on the 2024 Prologue models, with lease rates as low as $229 per month and 0% APR financing available.
