High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrest
A 24-year-old man from New York was arrested on Saturday night after leading Stafford County deputies on a high-speed chase in a luxury Italian sports car. The incident occurred on May 24 at approximately 8:37 p.m. when deputies observed the vehicle traveling at a high speed on Mine Road before turning onto westbound Garrisonville Road.
The deputies reported that the vehicle slid during the turn and its tires screeched due to the sudden maneuver. When they activated their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, the driver initially braked but then sped off, prompting a pursuit. During the chase, the driver turned onto Doc Stone Road, passing two other vehicles, before making a quick turn onto Worth Avenue and eventually pulling into the parking lot of Fatty’s Winghouse at 308 Worth Avenue.

Deputies conducted a high-risk stop and detained both occupants of the vehicle without incident. The driver, identified as Breno Pinheiro, was charged with felony eluding after reportedly telling deputies that his actions were due to him “trying to show off.” Pinheiro was taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail and is being held on a $3,000 secured bond. The passenger was not charged, and no injuries were reported during the incident.
