Truck Driver Fatally Injured in Orange County Crash
GARDEN GROVE, CA — A 78-year-old man from Orange was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Garden Grove early Thursday. The incident occurred around 4:55 a.m. in the 13200 block of Chapman Avenue.
Officers from the Garden Grove Police Department responded to reports of a collision and found a pickup truck that had collided with a tree. The driver, identified as James Eads, was unresponsive in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Eads was the sole occupant of the white 2000 Toyota Tundra.
Authorities have stated that there was no indication that alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
