Police have confirmed that a 94-year-old woman has died following a collision with a pickup truck in Toronto’s west end on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the intersection of King Street West and Massey Street. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 3:30 p.m.
Toronto Police Service Duty Inspector Steve Campoli reported that the woman sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local trauma hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation, according to Campoli.
No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation is continuing. Police are asking any witnesses, or anyone with video surveillance or dashcam footage of the incident, to contact them.
