Electric Power, Supercar Performance
The Renault 5 E-Tech was revealed at the Geneva International Motor Show, and the reviews have been glowing. Now, Renault has unveiled the 5 Turbo 3E, and it’s truly extraordinary.
The retro color scheme harks back to the 1982 Renault 5 Turbo rally car. However, it’s under the hood where the 5 Turbo 3E really shines. The all-electric powertrain generates an impressive 540 horsepower and a top speed of 168 mph. From a 15% charge, it can reach 80% in just 15 minutes.
Pricing and Customization
The price tag hasn’t been officially released, but it’s not going to be cheap. Rumors suggest a starting price around $170,000. Bespoke customization options could easily push that price tag north of $250,000. Renault promises bucket seats and a vertical, old-school handbrake.
