ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – A woman died Tuesday night after being struck by a pickup truck in Englewood, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
FHP reports the incident occurred on Indiana Avenue south of Cowles Street. The victim, a 38-year-old woman from Rotunda West, was crossing the street when she entered the path of the truck. First responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was a 43-year-old woman. Authorities have not released the name of the deceased. The FHP is investigating the crash.
