Aston Martin has debuted the Vanquish Volante, a convertible version of its third-generation Vanquish model, aiming to redefine the high-performance luxury car experience. The Vanquish Volante is poised to compete against the likes of Rolls-Royce and Bentley, while simultaneously matching the performance of Lamborghini and Ferrari.

According to Aston Martin, the Vanquish Volante is the world’s fastest and most powerful front-engine convertible. It achieves a top speed of 214 mph, thanks to a V-12 engine that generates 823 horsepower. Additionally, Aston Martin claims that the Vanquish Volante is the “most powerful open-top series production Aston Martin to date,” solidifying its position as the “very pinnacle of ultra-luxury high performance.”

Both the coupe and convertible models share the same V-12 engine. The coupe can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, while the convertible Volante achieves the same in 3.4 seconds, a difference attributed to the Volante’s slightly heavier weight, approximately 209 pounds more than the coupe. The Vanquish Volante’s roof can be lowered in 14 seconds and raised in 16 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph, and can be operated with the key fob.
Inside, the Vanquish Volante mirrors the design of the coupe, with Aston Martin emphasizing the car’s powerful performance and elegant exterior. Production numbers for the Vanquish, including the Volante convertible versions, are planned to be fewer than 1,000 annually, contributing to the model’s exclusivity. While the official pricing for the new Vanquish Volante wasn’t released, with the coupe version starting at $432,700, the new version is expected to be priced near half a million dollars. Deliveries of the new Vanquish Volante are anticipated to begin in the third quarter of this year.
