Nissan Unveils My Room Camper Van
Nissan is expanding its vehicle lineup with a new camper van called My Room, aiming to appeal to travelers who prefer simple, stylish, and less-cluttered adventures. The vehicle made its debut after being previewed in 2022 as a concept.
My Room stands out from many of its competitors because it avoids being all things to all people. Nissan’s My Room does not come equipped with a kitchen or bathroom, but it offers a minimalist design with everything one needs for a quick getaway.
Inside the My Room
While the exterior is rather utilitarian, the interior provides an attractive and appealing living space. Inspired by hotel room design, the cabin is characterized by a clean aesthetic with wood-grain paneling across the floor, walls, and ceiling. A retractable curtain separates the living space from the van’s cockpit. Windows with wooden blinds create an airy feel. The second-row bench can pivot and face either direction, and a full-length sliding table transforms the area into a workspace. A fold-up Murphy bed is included for overnight stays.
Even though no permanent appliances are built-in, the My Room offers space for portable fixtures like a kitchenette. It also includes a portable battery station that can power devices.
Currently, the My Room is slated for release in Japan this month and will be available in either two- or four-wheel drive. Pricing for the My Room will start at ¥5,516,500, or approximately $37,500. Unfortunately, there are no plans for it to be sold in the United States at this time.
