Powertrain and Range Details
All F-150 Lightning models come standard with two electric motors, one powering each axle, providing four-wheel drive. The XLT is equipped with the 98-kilowatt-hour Standard Range battery, estimated to deliver up to 240 miles of range. The rest of the lineup uses an Extended Range pack.
- The Lariat and Flash models have a range of 320 miles.
- The Platinum, due to its larger wheels, offers a slightly lower range of 300 miles.
Ford claims these batteries can recharge from 15% to 80% in just over 40 minutes using a DC fast charger.
The XLT’s smaller battery limits motor output, with 452 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. The Flash utilizes a smaller version of the extended range battery, with 123 kWh, producing 536 hp and the same 775 pound-feet of torque. The remaining F-150 Lightning models, with the 131-kWh extended range pack, generate 580 hp and the same torque output.
