At luxury car dealerships specializing in British brands, such as Rolls-Royce, concerned buyers are reaching out with worries that new tariffs could impact their planned purchases. These anxieties stem from President Trump’s announced 25% tariff on imported vehicles, set to take effect on April 3rd.

Dominick DiMatteo, a Rolls-Royce brand ambassador at Manhattan Motorcars, has been addressing customer concerns directly. “The truth of the matter is we’re getting calls from some of our clients who have orders in. They are saying, ‘Hey, even though I ordered it six months ago, is it going to get hit with the 25 per cent? I don’t know the answer to that just yet’,” he reported.
DiMatteo, who recently facilitated the sale of a Rolls-Royce Phantom—manufactured in Goodwood, West Sussex—for $774,000, noted that his clientele includes celebrities and athletes among others.
