Mercedes-Benz Vision V Concept: A Luxurious Electric Van
The Mercedes-Benz Vision V may look like a flight of fancy, but this luxurious van concept is set to become a reality within the next couple of years. It will ride on the new VAN.EA platform with an electric powertrain, introducing the concept of a luxury minivan to the United States, a market previously dominated by Asian car manufacturers.

The Vision V features short overhangs with the wheels pushed out to the corners, creating a planted and assertive stance. The 24-inch diameter wheels boast a bold five-spoke chrome design accented by illuminated strips. Chrome adorns much of the Vision V’s exterior, from the wheels to the grille and the thick B-pillar.
At the rear, a single lighting element wraps around a gigantic pane of glass, comprising both the taillight and brake lights. Up front, Mercedes has reimagined its iconic grille with chrome and illuminated trim, as the grille no longer needs to be open for cooling with an electric powertrain. The grille sits beneath a proud three-pointed-star hood ornament, which is also illuminated. The headlights, featuring the three-pointed-star motif, are linked by a front light bar.

A massive side door slides open to allow access to the cabin, with light-up, retractable running boards easing ingress and egress. The Vision V is expected to enter production next year, bringing the luxury minivan concept to the U.S. market.
The luxurious design elements and electric powertrain position the Vision V as a significant step in Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle lineup. With its bold design and luxurious features, the Vision V is set to make a significant impact in the luxury minivan segment.
