2026 Lexus ES: A New Generation of Luxury Sedans
The 2026 Lexus ES marks a significant departure from its predecessor with a bold new design and a range of powertrain options, including hybrid and fully electric models. The latest iteration of Lexus’s popular luxury sedan is set to arrive next year, bringing with it a fresh take on the brand’s signature styling.
Redesigned Exterior and Dimensions
The new ES boasts a more angular design language, drawing inspiration from the 2023 LF-ZC concept and Lexus’s RZ SUV. The split headlight design, a trend seen across many automakers in recent years, is a notable feature of the updated model. According to Lexus, the new ES measures approximately 6.5 inches longer than its predecessor, with a wheelbase that has grown by three inches. The vehicle’s height appears to have increased as well, likely due to the accommodation of battery packs under the floor in the electric variants.

Powertrain Options
The ES lineup now includes a hybrid powertrain, as well as two fully electric models. The ES350h hybrid variant produces 244 horsepower and is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The all-wheel drive model accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 7.8 seconds, while the front-wheel drive version takes 8.0 seconds.
