2025 Ram ProMaster EV Adds Two New Cargo Van Configurations
Ram has expanded its ProMaster EV lineup for 2025, introducing two new cargo van models while significantly reducing the base price. The new cargo configurations start at $58,490, representing a savings of over $20,000 compared to the base price of the 2024 step van model.
Key Features of the New Cargo Vans
The 2025 Ram ProMaster EV now offers two cargo van configurations featuring either a 12-foot or 13-foot cargo hold. Both models sit on a chassis with a 159.0-inch wheelbase and come equipped with a sliding side door instead of the step van’s signature sliding pocket door on the passenger’s side.
Pricing and Range
The introduction of these new models addresses one of the major limitations of the 2024 ProMaster EV, which was only available as a step van with a starting price of $79,990. The step van model has also received a price reduction, now starting at $71,990 – an $8,000 decrease from the previous year.
Ram claims the electric cargo models can travel up to 164 miles on a single charge, thanks to a battery pack with 97.0 kWh of usable capacity. The step van’s range for city driving has been increased to 180 miles, up from last year’s estimate of 162 miles. A DC fast-charger can take the ProMaster EV from 20 to 80 percent in under 55 minutes, with a peak charging rate of 150 kW.

Customers can now configure and price their ProMaster EV online before connecting with a dealership to finalize the purchase. The cargo van variants are expected to begin reaching dealerships in the second quarter of this year.
The addition of these new cargo van configurations and the reduction in price are significant steps for Ram in the competitive electric commercial van market, positioning the ProMaster EV more competitively against rivals like the Ford E-Transit, Mercedes-Benz eSprinter, and Chevrolet BrightDrop.
