The company, backed by Jeff Bezos, is promising an affordable price point of around $25,000, with a potential $20,000 price tag after incentives. The truck is made in America and is designed to be highly customizable.
Key Features of Slate Auto’s EV Pickup Truck
The electric pickup truck will be offered in a simplified two-seater configuration with steel wheels, crank windows, and real knobs for air conditioning. It boasts a huge frunk, a truck bed, and an impressive 1,400-pound payload capacity. The base model comes with a 52.7-kWh battery pack, offering around 150 miles of range, while an optional 84.3-kWh battery pack can extend the range to 240 miles.
Customization Options
Slate Auto is offering over 100 accessories right from the start, both individually and in bundles. Customers can also opt for various wrapping levels, allowing for personalization such as the unique Feline Therapist wrap seen on one of their test vehicles. An SUV accessory kit is available, transforming the two-seater pickup into a five-seater SUV with a roll cage, airbags, and a rear bench seat.
