Huawei Unveils the Luxurious Interior of Maextro S800 Sedan
Huawei has given us a first look inside the ultra-luxurious Maextro S800 sedan, showcasing its opulent interior that draws inspiration from premium brands like BMW, Mercedes, and Rolls-Royce. The luxury sedan is set to be offered with electric and range-extended powertrains.

The Maextro S800’s interior is heavily influenced by Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce models, featuring an elegant two-tone steering wheel and a ‘floating’ display that closely resembles the MBUX Hyperscreen found in Mercedes’ EQS. The display setup includes a configuration similar to Mercedes’ 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 17.7-inch infotainment system, and 12.3-inch front passenger display.
The cabin is adorned with stylish metal speaker grilles reminiscent of Burmester units, door-mounted seat controls, digital side mirror displays, and a dual wireless smartphone charger. Designers have also incorporated a splash of wood trim on the center console, a stylish rotary knob, and metallic accents. The luxurious mix of leather and suede-like upholstery further enhances the premium feel.

While the cockpit is impressive, the rear passenger compartment is the true star of the show. It boasts two individual rear seats with power adjustment and footrests, while the front passenger seat slides forward to facilitate easy entry and exit. The seats are separated by an elegant leather and wood console featuring deployable tray tables, a champagne flute holder, and a retractable drawer. Additional features include a refrigerated compartment and a rear seat entertainment system.
The rear compartment is further enhanced by a starry headliner inspired by Rolls-Royce’s design playbook, accompanied by door-mounted screens similar to those found in the BMW 7-Series.

The luxury sedan is expected to be offered with an electric powertrain featuring a 94.4 kWh battery pack, providing CLTC ranges of 416 miles (670 km) and 436 miles (702 km). An extended-range variant with a smaller 63.3 kWh battery is also in the works, offering electric-only ranges between 160 miles (258 km) and 193 miles (311 km).
Pricing for the Maextro S800 reportedly starts at ¥1 million, equivalent to $137,230. This is competitive considering the Mercedes-Maybach S480 starts at ¥1.48 million ($203,100) in China.
