2025 Ford Transit Custom PHEV and E-Transit Custom Details Released

Ford has announced the pricing and key specification details of its upcoming Transit Custom PHEV and all-electric E-Transit Custom vans. Both models are set to arrive in the third quarter of 2025.

The new electrified vans will be available in Trend LWB and Sport SWB variants. The PHEV versions will start at $67,590 and $69,990 plus on-road costs, respectively. The 2025 Ford E-Transit Custom will be priced from $77,590 to $79,990.

    PHEV Specifications

The Transit Custom PHEV features a 171kW petrol-electric powertrain, combining a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and an electric motor. The electric motor draws power from an 11.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack, achieving a combined fuel consumption of 1.7L/100km (WLTP) and an electric-only range of up to 54km.

    E-Transit Custom Specifications

The E-Transit Custom is equipped with a single 160kW/415Nm electric motor on the rear axle and a 64kWh battery pack, offering an effective driving range of 301-307km depending on the variant. It supports DC fast charging at up to 125kW, allowing for a 15-80% charge in 32 minutes. In contrast, the PHEV can only be charged using AC power at 3.5kW.

In terms of equipment, the new models largely follow the specifications of their turbo-diesel counterparts, with some additional features specific to their electrification.

The Trend grade includes features such as intelligent adaptive cruise control, a reversing camera, a 13-inch infotainment system, and a 12-inch driver cluster. The Sport variant adds enhancements like nicer trim, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and LED front lighting.
