Isuzu has unveiled the production version of its D-Max Electric Pickup Truck at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, UK. The electric version retains much of the design from its ICE counterpart but features several key updates. Notable changes include a refreshed LED headlamp design, a closed-off grille, and sportier dual-tone alloy wheels. The pickup truck will be available in two trims with options for extended cab and double cab configurations.
Key Specifications
The Isuzu D-Max EV is powered by a 66.9 kWh battery pack connected to a dual-motor setup, producing 190 hp and 325 Nm of torque. The vehicle can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 10.1 seconds and has a top speed of 128 kmph. Isuzu claims the D-Max EV offers a range of 263 km on a single charge.
Interior Updates
While exact interior details are not fully revealed, the Isuzu D-Max EV is expected to feature improvements including better upholstery, a larger infotainment system, and an updated ADAS suite. The electric version is also reported to reduce cabin noise and vibrations by 10 percent.
Production of the D-Max EV has already commenced at Isuzu’s Thailand factory, with deliveries expected to begin soon. However, the Indian market will have to wait longer as the pickup truck is currently produced with left-hand drive configuration.
The unveiling comes after Isuzu showcased the D-Max EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in India, indicating growing interest in electric vehicles across different markets.
