The incident involved a person riding an electric bicycle who was initially traveling on the sidewalk before entering the intersection, where they collided with a sedan. The impact caused the bicyclist to be thrown off their bike, resulting in serious injuries.
Emergency medical services were promptly dispatched to the scene, and the injured bicyclist was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The investigation into the crash led to the closure of Lower Landing Road between Chews Landing Road and the Black Horse Pike for several hours on Saturday. As of the initial report, Gloucester Township police had not released the identities of either the bicyclist or the driver of the sedan involved in the incident.
