Deadly Crash in Eastern Idaho
A tragic collision between a pickup truck and a tour van occurred along U.S. Highway 20 near Henry’s Lake State Park in eastern Idaho on Thursday, resulting in seven fatalities. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 25-year-old Isaih Moreno from Humble, Texas, was among those killed.

The tour group, headed to Yellowstone National Park, included 12 people of Chinese nationality and one Italian. According to police, five Chinese citizens were killed, and eight were injured in the crash. The Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco confirmed that they had activated their emergency mechanism to provide consular protection and assistance to the injured and the families of the victims.
Three people were seriously injured in the crash and were flown to hospitals in Idaho Falls and Bozeman, Montana. Several others were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Due to privacy considerations, no information regarding the medical status of the injured was released.
The crash remains under investigation, and the bodies of the victims will be taken to the Ada County Coroner’s Office for autopsies and formal identification. Police are working closely with the tour operator and are in contact with the Chinese and Italian consulates.
