A devastating collision between a tour van and a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 20 near Henry’s Lake State Park in eastern Idaho on Thursday evening has resulted in the deaths of seven people. The tour van, operated by Ctour Holiday LLC, a California-licensed tour company, was transporting a group to Yellowstone National Park when the crash occurred.
The Idaho State Police reported that the pickup truck driver, identified as 25-year-old Isaih Moreno from Humble, Texas, and six occupants of the Mercedes van were killed in the accident. The van was carrying 12 Chinese nationals and one Italian citizen. The Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco confirmed that five Chinese citizens were among the fatalities, while eight were injured.

The Idaho State Police are investigating the crash and are working closely with Ctour Holiday, as well as the Chinese and Italian consulates. The bodies of the victims are being taken to the Ada County Coroner’s Office for autopsies and identification.
Three individuals were seriously injured in the crash. Two were airlifted to a hospital in Idaho Falls, while one was taken to a hospital in Bozeman, Montana. Several others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at local hospitals.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, with authorities maintaining contact with the involved parties’ families and providing necessary assistance. Due to privacy concerns, the medical status of the injured is not being disclosed.
