Ford Australia has confirmed pricing and specifications for its new 2025 E-Transit Custom and Transit Custom PHEV commercial vans, with deliveries set to commence in Spring 2025. The new range will include four variants, offering customers the choice between plug-in hybrid and battery electric powertrains in either Long Wheelbase Trend or Short Wheelbase Sport configurations.
The Transit Custom PHEV Trend LWB is priced at $67,590, while the Transit Custom PHEV Sport SWB is priced at $69,990, both plus on-road costs. The all-electric E-Transit Custom Trend LWB is priced at $77,590, and the Sport SWB variant is priced at $79,990, also plus on-road costs.
Key Specifications
Both the plug-in hybrid and all-electric variants offer the same load space as their turbo-diesel counterparts, with capacities of 6.0m3 for LWB and 5.2m3 for SWB models. Maximum payload capacity varies between 1111kg and 1206kg depending on the variant, while braked towing capacity is rated at 2.3 tonnes – claimed to be class-leading for an electrified van.
Powertrain Details
The Transit Custom PHEV features a 111kW/320Nm electric motor combined with an 86kW/209Nm 2.5L petrol engine, delivering a total output of 171kW. It boasts a WLTP fuel economy rating of 1.7L/100km and an electric-only range of up to 54km from its 11.8kWh battery.
The E-Transit Custom is powered by a rear-mounted 160kW/415Nm electric motor, with its 64kWh battery capable of charging from 15-80% in 32 minutes at a DC charging rate of up to 125kW. The maximum AC charging rate is 11kW, and the van has a range of 301-307km depending on the variant.
Equipment Levels
The Trend PHEV model comes equipped with features including intelligent adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, 13-inch infotainment system, 12-inch driver cluster, voice command, sat-nav, smartphone mirroring, wireless charging, and LED load area lighting.
The Sport variant adds premium features such as nicer trim and stripes, power-adjustable driver’s seat, Dual Zone climate control, LED front lighting, sports body kit, and black 17-inch alloys.

Ford’s new electrified Transit Custom range will compete with models such as the LDV eDeliver 7, Mercedes-Benz eVito, and Volkswagen ID.Buzz. Pricing for the E-Transit Custom will be announced at a later date.
