Evera Cabs, supported by Prakriti Mobility, is making significant strides in the electric cab market by acquiring a substantial portion of BluSmart’s fleet following the latter’s suspension of services across major Indian cities. The company has already taken possession of 220 electric cabs, with the remaining 180 expected to join its fleet shortly. Evera aims to acquire 1,000 BluSmart cabs, significantly expanding its operations.
Expansion Strategy
Evera’s CEO and Co-Founder, Nimish Trivedi, stated that this expansion is part of a broader shift in India’s electric mobility narrative. “We’re not just scaling up; we’re realigning the electric mobility landscape in India,” Trivedi explained. “As key players adjust, Evera is moving forward with clear intent, absorbing proven EV assets and trusted drivers to ensure uninterrupted service on key routes.”

The acquisition allows Evera to expand its airport operations and improve electric mobility services. Key highlights include:

Operational Impact
The newly acquired cabs are being redeployed to ensure continuous service and reduce wait times for airport commuters. This expansion enables Evera to cover all terminals at Delhi Airport, upgrading from its previous limitation to Terminal 3. The company, which has operated reliably in the B2B and airport cab segment since 2022, is seizing the opportunity to expand its reach across the National Capital Region (NCR).
Driver Integration
Alongside fleet integration, a significant number of BluSmart drivers are joining Evera, with 10% being women, highlighting the company’s commitment to inclusive growth. Around 150 drivers have already begun operations, with ongoing recruitment efforts to ensure service readiness as the fleet scales up.
Future Plans
In the next phase, Evera will continue its airport network expansion, extending services across all terminals of Delhi’s airport. This strategic move is expected to improve availability and turnaround times for commuters, further establishing Evera’s presence in the electric cab market.
