General Motors has integrated its commercial EV brand, BrightDrop, into Chevrolet, rebranding the electric vans as the 2025 Chevrolet BrightDrop 400 and BrightDrop 600. This move aims to leverage Chevrolet’s extensive commercial vehicle sales and service network to boost BrightDrop’s market presence.

    Key Features of BrightDrop Vans

The BrightDrop 400 and 600 are available in four configurations, featuring either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The vans utilize GM’s Ultium battery platform, with an estimated maximum range of 272 miles for AWD models equipped with the “Max Range” battery. The “standard range” is 159 miles for the 400 and 164 miles for the 600, regardless of drivetrain.

    Specifications

    • BrightDrop 400: 238.6 inches long, 153.1-inch wheelbase, 412 cubic feet cargo capacity
    • BrightDrop 600: 290.0 inches long, 183.5-inch wheelbase, 615 cubic feet cargo capacity
    • Maximum payload: 3480 pounds for AWD 400, 3130 pounds for AWD 600
    • Charging capabilities: up to 120 kW DC fast-charging, up to 19.2 kW Level 2 AC charging for AWD models

    Interior and Technology

The vans feature a modern interior with an 11.3-inch center infotainment screen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, complemented by an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster. Additional features include automatic climate control, heated seats, and a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies.

    Availability and Production

The BrightDrop vans will continue to be manufactured at the CAMI Assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario. While pricing details remain undisclosed, the vans are currently available exclusively to fleet customers through Chevrolet dealerships that meet specific commercial EV sales requirements.
