Luxury Garage Condos Set to Break Ground in Houston
A new development called Toy Cave is slated to break ground in September just outside of Loop 610 in Houston. Unlike traditional condos, these luxury units are designed to house high-end vehicles rather than people. Byron Plant, president of Toy Cave Luxury Garage Condos, explained that the development aims to meet the growing need for secure, high-quality storage for luxury, classic, and collectible cars in Houston.
Development Details
The Toy Cave complex will feature 56 individual garages, each approximately 1,500 square feet with a 500-square-foot mezzanine. The garages will come with various customizable features, including:
- Access-controlled pedestrian doors
- High-speed Wi-Fi and LED lighting
- Sufficient electrical capacity for potential electric vehicle charging stations
- Finished and painted sheetrock walls
- Individual HVAC systems with Wi-Fi enabled thermostats
In addition to the garages, the development will include a 3,400-square-foot clubhouse and car detailing center. This community space will be accessible 24/7 to owners and their guests, featuring:
- A bar and kitchen
- Private rooms and a billiards table
- An F1 racing simulator
- An outdoor area with a patio and grill
The complex will be highly secure, with an access gate and CCTV cameras throughout. Prices for the garages range from $839,000 to $865,000. The development is expected to be completed by fall 2026.

Plant noted that Toy Cave will also host various car events throughout the year to foster a sense of community among car enthusiasts. The development is located at 4411 W. 12th St., Houston, and more information can be found at www.toycavegarages.com.
