The League of Legends gaming community continues to celebrate its legends with the recent induction of Jian Zìháo, better known by his online handle ‘Uzi,’ into the prestigious Hall of Legends. Uzi, one of the most accomplished League of Legends players despite never having won a world championship, has been recognized for his achievements with a unique honor – a customized all-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV.
Who is Uzi?
Uzi’s impressive gaming career includes finishing as a runner-up in the world championship twice and being the first professional player to reach 500 games. He has represented the Chinese national team in the popular online multiplayer game. His induction into the Hall of Legends places him alongside Korea’s ‘Faker,’ the current sole other member of this elite group.
The Customized Mercedes-Benz G-Class
The all-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class, also known as the G 580 with EQ Technology, gifted to Uzi is not just any standard vehicle. It has been custom-modified to commemorate his achievement, featuring ‘Hall Of Legends’ engravings on the door handles and side protection bars. The SUV boasts a unique MANUFAKTUR Kalahari gold magno paint finish, making it the first G-Class in China to sport this color. The vehicle is equipped with four e-motors, producing 579 horsepower and 859 lb-ft of torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
The Partnership Between Mercedes-Benz and League of Legends
Mercedes-Benz’s partnership with Riot Games, the developer behind League of Legends, has led to this unique collaboration. The brand’s involvement in the gaming world is evident through such prestigious recognitions. As Bettina Fetzer, Mercedes-Benz Digital & Communications Vice President, stated, “Legends are not only recognized by their achievements, but also by the impact they leave behind. It is therefore an honor to celebrate Uzi’s induction into the Hall of Legends with a very special vehicle…”

This recognition not only highlights Uzi’s gaming prowess but also underscores the growing intersection between the automotive and gaming industries. The Hall of Legends continues to honor the most impactful figures in League of Legends history, and Uzi’s inclusion marks a significant milestone in his career.
