Terra Motors has reinforced its commitment to India’s electric vehicle (EV) transition with the introduction of KYORO+, a new electric three-wheeler designed specifically for the country’s growing urban transportation needs. The company aims to establish 100 dealerships and scale production to 5,000 units per month by the end of 2025, reflecting its ambition to dominate India’s USD 1.17 billion electric three-wheeler market.
The KYORO+, named after the Japanese word symbolizing quickness and alertness, offers a practical and efficient solution for last-mile mobility. It boasts a range of 200 km on a single charge, a top speed of 55 kmph, and the ability to climb gradients up to 22% even when fully loaded. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 28 kmph in 5.6 seconds. Designed to match Indian road and business conditions, the KYORO+ also features ample passenger space and luggage capacity, addressing both comfort and utility requirements.
With over 100,000 L3-category electric vehicles sold, Terra Motors has established a strong presence in East India. The KYORO+ marks the company’s entry into the more performance-oriented L5 segment. To support adoption, Terra Motors has introduced zero down payment financing options through Terra Finance, aiming to remove financial barriers for small business owners and self-employed drivers. This inclusive approach is crucial in India’s price-sensitive and credit-constrained market.
In addition to product expansion, Terra Motors plans to bolster its EV ecosystem with 2,000 Terra Charge points across India by 2026. This infrastructure will be vital in supporting the company’s ambitious operational scale.
