Skoda has introduced a new electric concept car that pays homage to its heritage by reviving the Favorit nameplate. The concept vehicle draws significant inspiration from the historic Favorit model, although the brand maintains that there are currently no plans to put the small car into production. This move hints at a possible retro-styled theme for upcoming Skoda models, following a strategy successfully adopted by Renault with their new 4 and 5 models. Other manufacturers, such as Fiat with their Grande Panda, have also jumped on this bandwagon.
Skoda is set to launch a compact electric model called the Epiq later this year. The Epiq will be based on the new VW MEB Small platform, which it will share with the VW ID 2 and Cupra Raval. Unlike the retro-inspired concept, the Epiq will feature a more modern design and adopt a compact SUV body style.
