A multiple vehicle collision occurred on Butts Road in Coventry earlier today, prompting a swift response from emergency services. The incident, which involved a car, bus, and van, took place near the Coventry Elim church and Apollo House. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) confirmed that they received a call at 2:55 pm and dispatched an ambulance and paramedic officer to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found that the collision had involved a bus carrying eight passengers, a car, and a van. A woman was treated for minor injuries but did not require further medical attention, so she was discharged at the scene. The West Midlands Fire Service also responded quickly, arriving within four minutes of the 999 call. They worked alongside West Midlands Police to clear the scene and reopen one lane of traffic.
Fortunately, despite the involvement of multiple vehicles and passengers on the bus, no one was trapped or seriously injured. The road was closed temporarily while the emergency services worked to clear the scene. By 3:37 pm, the fire service crews had left the scene after completing their tasks.
