Maserati has launched its first full-electric sport utility vehicle, the Grecale Folgore, in Korea, joining the recent influx of new models in the country’s growing SUV market. Despite the shift to electric power, the Grecale Folgore maintains Maserati’s signature blend of sleek design and dynamic performance.
Design and Features

Driving Experience
During a test drive on a 140-kilometer route covering city streets, highways, and winding mountain roads, the Grecale Folgore delivered a swift and unhindered acceleration despite its considerable weight of 2,540 kilograms. Powered by a 410-kilowatt battery, it produces 550 horsepower and 820 newton-meters of torque, sprinting from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.1 seconds. Maserati replaced the typical high-pitched EV motor noise with its signature audio, recreating the brand’s distinctive auditory experience.
The SUV handled steep inclines and sharp winding curves with consistent power delivery. Its soft yet precise steering minimized body roll during sudden lane changes and tight curves, contributing to a comfortable and stable drive.
Specifications and Pricing
The Grecale Folgore has a rated driving range of 333 kilometers on a single charge, despite its 105-kilowatt-hour battery from China’s CATL being comparable to competing electric SUVs. However, during the test drive, the car showed better efficiency than its rated range, with over 70 percent battery remaining after a 140-kilometer journey starting with 98 percent charge.
Maserati Korea has been delivering the Grecale Folgore since April at a promotional starting price of 123.8 million won ($90,000) to celebrate the brand’s 110th anniversary. The standard list price is 152.3 million won.
