Two people were arrested after a dramatic high-speed chase ended in a collision in Harrogate. North Yorkshire Police officers on patrol spotted a Kia Ceed being driven suspiciously on Mayfield Grove at around 2:00 AM on Thursday. The vehicle sped away when officers attempted to stop it, eventually crashing into a parked van on Walworth Avenue.
A 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested nearby on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop. The Kia Ceed was seized for forensic examination.
The incident highlights the ongoing efforts of North Yorkshire Police to address reckless driving in the area. Residents are advised to report any suspicious vehicle activity to the authorities.
