Serious Crash in Unincorporated Woodstock Leaves Five Hospitalized
A devastating crash involving an SUV and a pickup truck occurred in unincorporated Woodstock, Illinois, on Sunday morning, leaving five people hospitalized, including three children. The incident took place at approximately 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Collins and Vermont roads.
According to fire officials, the Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts responded to the scene, where they found the small SUV rolled onto its side and partially hanging over a guardrail. The driver of the SUV was airlifted to Rockford’s Javon Bea Hospital – Riverside Campus in serious condition.

First responders worked to extricate a woman from the SUV’s wreckage, who was then taken to an ambulance for evaluation. The occupants of the pickup truck, including three children and a woman, were transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be minor. A man who was also in the truck declined medical attention.
The intersection was closed for nearly two hours following the crash, with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office investigating the cause of the incident. Authorities have not yet released information on what led up to the crash.
