The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a gray, four-door diesel GM pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash on Sunday night in Woodstock, Maine. The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. on South Main Street and Route 232, resulting in one fatality and one critical injury.
According to authorities, the motorcycle driver, a 60-year-old man from Oxford, died from his injuries after being taken to a local hospital. The passenger, a 50-year-old woman from Oxford, remains hospitalized with significant injuries.
Witnesses reported that a group of motorcyclists were traveling in the same direction as the pickup truck in the right lane. When the lead motorcycle attempted to pass the truck on the left, it suddenly veered into the same lane, causing the motorcyclist to lose control and crash into a wooded area. The pickup truck failed to stop and continued south on Route 26.
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance images of the truck and is asking anyone with information to contact them at 207-743-9554.
