An 11-year-old boy was critically injured Tuesday afternoon when his bicycle was struck by a pickup truck near the intersection of Willard and Kinney Streets in Jamestown. The child was initially taken to UPMC Chautauqua before being airlifted to Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo for further treatment. The Jamestown Police Department, assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department Accident Reconstruction Team, is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. According to police, all parties involved are cooperating with the investigation, and no charges have been filed against the driver at this time. The condition of the child remains critical.
