A devastating accident occurred in Fort Worth on Saturday, June 14, when 65-year-old Ignacio Zapata’s pickup truck collided with a train. Zapata, a construction worker and family man, is currently hospitalized in critical condition. The crash happened around 5:20 p.m. near the intersection of West Biddison Street and Ryan Avenue in south Fort Worth. According to a Fort Worth police spokesperson, Zapata was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The police are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
Zapata’s daughter, Idalia Zapata, has started a GoFundMe page to help cover the mounting medical expenses. She described her father as “the heart of his family, a loving father, and grandfather” who has always been there for his loved ones and community. The family is now struggling to cope with the financial burden of his care.

The accident has left the family facing a long and challenging road to recovery. As Idalia Zapata noted on the GoFundMe page, “Now, he needs our help.” The community’s support is being sought to help the family during this difficult time.
