Collision in Fort Worth Leaves Local Man Critically Injured
A 65-year-old North Texas man, Ignacio Zapata, is hospitalized in critical condition after his pickup truck collided with a train in Fort Worth on Saturday, June 14. The accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. near the intersection of West Biddison Street and Ryan Avenue in south Fort Worth. Zapata, who was alone in the vehicle, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

According to his daughter, Idalia Zapata, who set up a GoFundMe page for her father, Ignacio “faces a long and challenging road to recovery.” The family is struggling to cope with the mounting medical expenses following the devastating accident. Ignacio Zapata is described as “the heart of his family, a loving father, and grandfather” who has always been there for his loved ones and community.
The Fort Worth police are currently investigating the cause of the crash. The community is rallying around the family during this difficult time, as they work to support Ignacio Zapata through his recovery process.
