1 Dead After 2 Pickup Trucks Collide in Georgetown County
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. — One driver was killed in a collision between two pickup trucks on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred on Old Pee Dee Road near Ray Road at around 4:25 p.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP).
A 2024 Ram pickup truck was traveling north on Old Pee Dee Road when a 2011 Ford truck turned south onto the road from a private driveway, resulting in a head-on collision. The driver of the Ford truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Ram truck was transported to the hospital.
