The Avon Police Department reported several incidents recently, including arrests for drunkenness and impaired driving, as well as a fraud report.
On June 7 at 12:54 a.m., officers responded to a report of a man in a store parking lot on Chester Road who wanted to speak with them. Upon investigation, they found the man inside his pickup truck, which appeared to be his living space. He was arrested for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A business owner on Colorado Avenue reported discovering forged checks in the business’s name on June 9 at 12:22 p.m. At the time of the report, there were no additional details available.
On June 9 at 12:26 a.m., police stopped the driver of an SUV on Interstate 90 after observing the vehicle weave out of its lane multiple times. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired.
