A teenager riding an electric motorcycle was hospitalized on Monday after colliding with a pickup truck at an intersection in Rancho Cucamonga. The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Haven Avenue and 19th Street. According to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, the teen was riding westbound on 19th Street on an “unauthorized electric motorcycle” when the crash happened. Witnesses indicated that the juvenile rider failed to stop at the red light before colliding with the truck. The impact ejected the teen over the truck into the street. The driver of the pickup truck attempted to stop upon seeing the teen but was unable to avoid the collision. The teenager sustained several injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
