NVIDIA Partners with Automotive Industry Leaders

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 06, 2025 – NVIDIA has announced new partnerships with Toyota, Aurora, and Continental, marking a significant step forward in the development of autonomous vehicle technologies.

Toyota, the world’s largest automaker, will integrate NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin™ into its next-generation vehicles. These vehicles will utilize the safety-certified NVIDIA DriveOS operating system to deliver advanced driver-assistance capabilities and pave the way for future autonomous systems.

NVIDIA’s automotive business is projected to reach approximately $5 billion in the fiscal year 2026, reflecting the growing adoption of its platforms across the automotive sector. “The autonomous vehicle revolution has arrived, and automotive will be one of the largest AI and robotics industries,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA.

NVIDIA’s technologies are central to transforming the automotive sector, offering end-to-end solutions for autonomous vehicle development. The partnerships with Toyota, Aurora, and Continental highlight NVIDIA’s role in accelerating this transformation.

Aurora and Continental are also working with NVIDIA to deploy driverless trucks, leveraging the NVIDIA DRIVE platform. Continental plans to mass-produce an SAE Level 4 autonomous-driving system using the Aurora Driver, powered by NVIDIA DRIVE, by 2027.

Other prominent mobility companies, including BYD, JLR, Li Auto, Lucid, Mercedes-Benz, NIO, Nuro, Rivian, Volvo Cars, Waabi, Wayve, Xiaomi, ZEEKR, and Zoox, are adopting NVIDIA DRIVE AGX for their next-generation driver-assistance systems and autonomous vehicle plans.

NVIDIA provides a comprehensive suite of technologies for autonomous vehicle development, including in-vehicle computers (NVIDIA DRIVE AGX), data processing and AI model training (NVIDIA DGX™), and simulation and testing (NVIDIA Omniverse™ and NVIDIA Cosmos™).

These collaborations and advancements underscore NVIDIA’s commitment to the future of autonomous transportation and are expected to drive innovation and progress in the automotive industry. For more details, you can watch Huang’s opening keynote at CES.
