Ford’s Q2 Performance: Trucks, Vans, and Electrified Vehicles Lead the Charge

Ford Motor Company is experiencing robust sales, according to recently released data, reflecting a strong demand for its diverse product line. This positive momentum is fueled by gains in key areas such as trucks, vans, hybrid, electric vehicles, and the Lincoln brand. Ford continues its reign as the top-selling pickup truck manufacturer globally.

Ford’s F-Series lineup remains the top truck in America. The F-Series outsold its closest competitor by a significant margin, showcasing its enduring popularity. The Maverick and Maverick Hybrid also set new first-half sales records, highlighting their appeal to a broad customer base.

The F-Series, America’s top-selling truck, demonstrated solid performance during the second quarter. Truck sales, including pickups and vans, increased significantly, with the best Q2 performance since 2019.

Ford’s Transit van continues to dominate its segment, with sales reaching a new first-half record. These vehicles are vital for many businesses, supporting the American economy.

Ford truck sales showed robust growth in Q2.

“From the urban customer who wants the capability of a small pickup like Maverick to the businesses that rely on Transit vans to help drive the American economy, the distinctive Ford lineup is resonating with customers,” said Andrew Frick, president, Ford Blue. “Hybrid and electric vehicles are driving growth, as are post-purchase experiences, like BlueCruise hands-free highway driving, the Ford Pro Intelligence software platform and remote vehicle servicing options.”

SUV sales also hit an all-time high during the first half of 2024, surpassing the previous record set in 2017. Customers are also finding value in Ford’s software and service offerings, providing convenience and ease.

Ford’s hybrid vehicle sales experienced a substantial increase, marking a new quarterly sales record. The Maverick hybrid model, America’s most popular hybrid pickup, played a significant role in this success.

The Maverick has become a popular choice for customers seeking efficiency, capability, and versatility. Additionally, the F-150 Hybrid contributed to the growth of Ford’s hybrid vehicles. The versatility of Ford’s truck powertrain offerings, which include gas, hybrid, and electric options, provides a competitive edge.

The E-Transit van is a leader in the electric van market, with sales more than doubling compared to last year, showcasing its appeal to businesses.

Ford Pro Intelligence subscriptions also increased, indicating strong demand for connected services. The Lincoln brand also experienced gains, with sales up thanks to the new Nautilus.
