The Biden administration is taking new steps to bolster US automotive manufacturing and artificial intelligence, while simultaneously increasing restrictions on Chinese technology.
On Tuesday, a finalized rule effectively banned new, personal smart cars from China and Russia. US officials also announced the launch of an inquiry to expand these restrictions to commercial vehicles, including buses and trucks.
