MOLINE, Ill. – A 24-year-old man from Davenport, Iowa, has died after a two-vehicle crash in Moline, Illinois, according to Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson.
Gustafson identified the victim as Logan A. Reyes. The preliminary cause of death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries. Toxicology results are pending, Gustafson added.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at 70th Street and John Deere Road around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The crash involved a 2010 Ford F150 pickup truck and a tandem axle Mack truck, police reported.
According to police, Reyes was driving the pickup truck eastbound on John Deere Road in the center lane. He was approaching a green light when the vehicle rear-ended the Mack truck at the intersection.
Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed. The collision remains under investigation. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
