ATLANTA — A pickup truck ended up over the median on I-75/85 south near University Avenue on Thursday morning following a multi-vehicle crash. The incident caused substantial traffic delays in the area.
Earlier in the day, traffic cameras and GDOT511 reports showed major backups that lasted for several hours. According to GDOT officials, the crash was cleared around 1 p.m.
Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11 a.m. GSP reports state that a total of four vehicles were involved in the collision: three southbound vehicles and one traveling northbound. Troopers indicated that the pickup truck crashed into the concrete barrier and subsequently hit a light pole fixture located within the median.
