A 20-year-old man has been apprehended following the alleged theft of several luxury vehicles, including a Mercedes, a Lamborghini, and a Range Rover, from outside the residence of Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck. Tykwon Anderson, 20, stands accused of breaking into a home in the High Pines neighborhood, an unincorporated area near Coral Gables, where Beck and his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder, a UM women’s basketball player, were present at the time.
Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office officials reported that Anderson and three other individuals forcibly entered the home around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday. According to authorities, one of the suspects burglarized the white Range Rover and obtained the garage door opener, which they then used to access the residence and steal the key fobs for the vehicles from the living room.
Surveillance footage captured by a nearby home shows vehicles being driven out of the neighborhood in the early hours of the morning. Cavinder’s Range Rover was recovered nearby later that morning, and the Mercedes was located around lunchtime. However, authorities are still actively searching for the missing red Lamborghini.
Deputies stated that Anderson confessed to the crime and was subsequently booked on grand theft charges. His bond has yet to be determined.
