York Regional Police are urging caution regarding the dangers of towing individuals behind vehicles following a tragic incident in Vaughan. On February 12, officers responded to a call in the area of Sassafras Circle and Sugarforest Drive concerning an injured person.
The youth, who was reportedly riding a sled being towed by a pickup truck, was transported to a local hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. A 17-year-old male from Vaughan, who was driving the truck, has been charged with dangerous driving and dangerous driving causing death.
