Mansory Gives the Tesla Cybertruck a Radical Makeover, and the Result is… Predictable
Mansory, the German tuner known for its often controversial enhancements to luxury vehicles, has turned its attention to the Tesla Cybertruck. While the Cybertruck’s unconventional design already generates strong opinions, Mansory’s modifications, dubbed the “Elongation,” are sure to ignite even more debate.
The Mansory Elongation features extensive carbon fiber additions.
As with past Mansory projects, such as those applied to the Ferrari Purosangue and Bugatti Chiron, the Cybertruck’s makeover leans heavily on the use of carbon fiber. This includes new front and rear bumpers, as well as split rear wings designed to maintain the truck’s functionality as a pickup. While carbon fiber is often used to reduce weight, Mansory prioritizes its aesthetic impact, resulting in a decidedly “overbuilt” appearance, which aligns with their design philosophy.
“Tesla’s Cybertruck has one of the most unusual bodies in automobile construction,” Mansory stated. “In order to meet Mansory’s high and brand-typical demands on appearance and aerodynamics, the Mansory designers install various full carbon add-on parts on the entire car and push the martial appearance of the vehicle a little further into the extreme.”
The Elongation also boasts 26-inch wheels and an interior that features – unsurprisingly – more carbon fiber, along with leather upholstery. Each Elongation is customized to the buyer’s preferences.
Carbon fiber abounds in both the interior and exterior of the Mansory Elongation.
“High-gloss polished paint surfaces or carbon parts—depending on the customer’s wishes—in the cockpit impress in a noble way and complement the quilted seats and leather surfaces in the interior,” Mansory explained.
While a price has not been announced, the Mansory Cybertruck will undoubtedly command a significant premium over the base model’s starting price of $79,990. Given the polarizing nature of Mansory’s designs, reactions to the Elongation are likely to be mixed. However, for some, the already distinctive Cybertruck may be a fitting canvas for Mansory’s bold approach.
