A pickup truck crash on Friday morning in Montgomery County, Alabama, has claimed the life of one man and injured another.
According to Alabama State Troopers, 19-year-old Haedon Hughes of Deatsville was driving the pickup truck when it left the roadway and collided with a tree. Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The crash also injured 19-year-old Brailyn Jackson of Prattville, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Jackson was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for medical treatment, state troopers confirmed.
Investigators reported that the single-vehicle wreck occurred around 6:20 AM on U.S. Highway 231, approximately 15 miles north of Troy. Further details about the cause of the crash are currently under investigation.
