DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. – A 17-year-old from Selma, Alabama, died following a pickup truck crash that occurred Friday afternoon, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
The teenager sustained serious injuries when the Ram 1500 he was driving veered off the road and collided with several trees. The accident took place around 1:20 p.m. on Dallas County 3 near Dallas County 33.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The ALEA has not released the identity of the deceased at this time.
Troopers from the ALEA Highway Patrol Agency are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
